The product is available in PVC and LS0H Solid Cable to meet all requirements within the LAN and Data Centre environments. The PowerCat 6 Solid U/UTP Cable Assemblies are factory tested and feature RJ45 plugs and cable strain relief boots to prevent the vulnerable plug termination point from damage when the cable is curved, thus ensuring maximum performance. The product is supplied with both ends terminated and tested, allowing the installer to cut the assembly in half for termination to the IDC.

The internal storage spool easily holds 1.5 meters of up to 12 fibers with 900 micron buffers and can accept up to six of Molex's USO II fascias enabling both copper and fiber outlets to be placed in one centrally located unit.

Consolidation Points or Multi-User Telecommunications Outlets (MUTO) are intended to provide increased flexibility and economy for installations where open office spaces require frequent reconfiguration. Consolidation Points are intended for interconnection between horizontal cables extending from building pathways and horizontal cables extending into furniture pathways. Consolidation Point enclosures are frequently required to be installed in ceiling voids or raised floors. The advantage of a MUTO is that it provides a completely modular solution for work area changes. It provides customers with easy access for work area changes. MUTO ‘s should not be installed in ceiling spaces or raised floors to allow easy access and modularity. Note: Copper work area cables connected to a MUTO shall meet the requirements of TIA/EIA 568 B-3 and ISO 11801:2002. Molex Premise Networks Consolidation Point/MUTO Enclosure features 8 shuttered PowerCat 6A modules housed in a rugged steel enclosure, which protects incoming cable , but allows ready access to the Telecommunications Outlet links. Two enclosures may be interconnected allowing for expansion. The PowerCat 6A Shielded DataGate Jack was specifically designed for high-speed data transmission. Offering superior alien cross-talk suppression and enhanced EMI protection. The connector provides a spring loaded shutter that protects from dust and contaminants but the spring loaded design also ejects improperly seated patch cords. Molex recommends the full range of PowerCat 6A shielded products are used in a system to maximise cabling performance.
